Before booking your dog’s first grooming appointment, I may need to arrange a complimentary 15-minute assessment.

This allows your dog to become familiar with the salon environment, assist with effective desensitisation and gives us the opportunity to meet. During the assessment, we will discuss your dog’s temperament, any health considerations, and your preferences for the groom.

All relevant information will be recorded on your dog’s profile, along with any other important details, so I am fully prepared for their grooming appointment.

Hello. My name is Jane and I own Suds and Hugs.
My love for dogs gave me the incentive to train as a dog groomer which has allowed me to combine that love with a skill I’m truly passionate about. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, calm, and cared for while they’re with me. From childhood I grew up with dogs in my life.
Grooming isn’t just about keeping dogs looking their best—it’s about building trust, boosting their comfort, and giving them a positive experience. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog leave relaxed, happy, and proud, knowing they’ve been treated with patience, kindness, and plenty of love.
I have completed a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Styling, trained in Emmi-Pet teeth cleaning and am Canine First Aid certified.

It stimulates blood circulation and releases the body's own energies without scrubbing. Regular use helps prevent plaque and tartar buildup, reduces gingivitis and periodontitis, eliminates bad breath. If your dog has any lose teeth or signs of dental diseases then I won't be able to carry out the teeth clean and will recommend seeing your vet. Your dog will have their very own clip-on brush head and it won't be used on any other dog. I use the emmi-pet ultrasonic toothbrush to clean dogs teeth for a number of reasons. The toothbrush uses silent, vibration-free ultrasonic waves. It cleans gently and thoroughly without damaging the tooth structure. The chip in the brush head brush generates up to 96 million ultrasonic air oscillations (vibrations) per minute. The waves create millions of "nano-bubbles" that are carried around the mouth, removing food particles, plaque, and bacteria from deep within the gum pockets and tiny spaces where bristles can't reach.

I use the emmi-pet ultrasonic toothbrush to clean dogs teeth. The toothbrush uses silent, vibration-free ultrasonic waves to clean teeth, killing bacteria, removing plaque and tartar, and promoting gum health without brushing or anesthesia. An initial session will be required to assess your dog's teeth and discuss their needs. Multiple sessions are often needed for significant plaque/tartar buildup, followed by maintenance sessions. • First Appointment (1 hr) - £50 which includes your dogs own toothbrush head • Follow up sessions - £30 • Follow up sessions with a groom - £20
